I was born in Parow and started school at Elgin Primary School near Cape Town, South Africa.
My mother really wanted me to learn how to cook and all I wanted to do was designing clothes, so she sends me of the college studying both. Needles to say I flunked the cooking but was a finalist in a national fashion design competition which opened doors to be invited to an international design academy.
I had a fashion house and the entered the corporate market. I was with Smile Education where I focussed on training Life skills and business analysis for the agents. I further focussed on the emotional development of the child and the effects it has on adults.
This is where I learned about the different temperaments from Carol Tuttle – America (Dressing your truth). The dynamics of knowing yourself, others and understanding one another is the basis of being the best U you can be. Living according to your temperament, getting dressed, doing things your inherent way is what gives us a deep sense of happiness.
Having a Stroke which ended my corporate career and took me on a three-year journey to walk and talk again. During this journey I relocated to the platteland. Ever since 2014 I have been living on a farm in the Kalahari, an hour out of the nearest small town going through 22 gates.
Painting and creating has always been part of my life, but so little time. In 2024 I started painting in all earnest again. I took a few classes from Maca and other artist and eventually decided to do the Milan Art Institute Mastery program.
Seeing people blossom when they know who they are and understanding themselves and others now have a deeper meaning when they find joy in my paintings.
I believe that I am right where I belong and that every person on the earth is right where they should be at this given time of life.
Subtle is definitely the least word that describes me, Excentric and more like a waterfall – Victoria falls – grabbing life by the horns and join the rodeo.
